This tape is issued by the Vitra Design Museum and is based on the Le Modulor system by Le Corbusier. According to the web site, “Regarded as the most important modern attempt to develop a mathematically coherent measurement, the Modulor is a system based on the proportions of the human body. Le Corbusier s corresponding book on the subject, Le Modulor, is still valued as an essential work in the field of modern architectural history. During the architect s lifetime only a few samples of this measuring tape were created - for his personal use in the design of building projects. An original artefact in the holdings of the Fondation Le Corbusier served as the model for this new edition by the Vitra Design Museum.”
Like they note, could make a perfect gift for a budding architect.

You got to make sure that you are drinking plenty of water in winter. Anything that helps you move forward with this goal is worth considering such as a nice, good looking bottle. Enter Kor’s Hydration “Vessel” (what’s wrong with the word bottle?). Its got a nice clean look, a top you wont lose and a handle to make carrying around easier. And the price is not too bad on the increasingly thin wallet.

Fall is just around the corner. Unbelievable, but true. And fall is great time for the outdoors. If you are into running and want to hang out with the best (or at least want to appear to) then the Arnuva is for you. I mean Dean Karnazes ran 50 marathons in 50 states in 50 days on this shoe!

I still can’t let a globe just sit idly; feel compelled to move it and look at all the exotic places and islands around the world. Now, for those that have built the library of their dreams, finding a cool globe can be a challenge. But help is at hand in the shape of this stainless steel prize winning design by Henrik Tengler. We just dig the looks of it.

You can go green without looking green. Ugly green, that is. We are still surprised by the sheer number of ugly, foul looking stuff that is solely enviro-friendly but hardly soul inspiring. Clearly, this bike is not one of them. The Enertia bike is a rechargeable electric, zero emissions bike (this in a category that generates more emissions per mile than cars!). The bike does 0-60 in a eye watering 3.8 seconds and goes up to 45 miles on a single charge. The design will ensure that people stare at you all along those 45 miles. Cool indeed.
Thanks to and more at Uncrate. There is also tons of coverage on the Net about the bike; we just grace it with our ‘cool’ seal.

We really love to see creative reuse of traditional packaging for, er, non-traditional purposes. A paint can for a hot chocolate product? Why not? It works wonderfully, just look at it. Very cool.
